Bitcoin falls to the lowest level against the dollar

Bitcoin’s digital currency fell about 15 percent against the U.S. dollar in late trading to a three-and-a-half-month low, and analysts attributed the decline to a lukewarm reception from investors to launch bitcoin futures.

Beckett, an cryptocurrency platform of the New York Stock Exchange’s Intercontinental Exchange, listed the new ActBitcoin contracts on Monday. Analysts said the volume was disappointing.

In the most recent trading, Bitcoin, the largest digital currency by market value, fell 12.50 percent to $8,473 after falling earlier to $7,998, its lowest level since mid-June.
